OpenFoodNetwork (OFN) is a platform to connect producers and consumers directly. While Foodsoft focuses on supporting a food cooperative, OFN focuses on connecting consumers and producers. If both platforms can connect, it would help everyone.
What would this need from Foodsoft? To expand the sharedlists functionality. Or, even better, use a web API for sharedlists as well, and make it possible to connect to both our own shared database (#396), as well as OFN. As well as other sources in the future.
Direct benefit to Foodsoft users would be to find existing producers, and to have their products available in Foodsoft right away.
