The pillow speaker is a little quiet. I picked up some USB powered speakers. Plugged them into the pi for power, but still used the hdmi audio jack. I put one speaker in the shell (that's all that fit) and the other speaker at the bottom of the stand. I used these but they aren't available anymore:

I'm going to try other hardware (speakers, HDMI adapter, etc) but the 1st adapter and pillow speaker I tried you could barely hear. I used ALSA mixer to put the volume at 100% which didn't help.
Program apparently works though =D I don't have my LEDS yet.
Any thoughts on that

Cool. I found a pillow speaker that has a small amp powered by AAA so I'm going to give that a go. The biggest challenge otherwise has been printing the parts without them turning into disasters.
3D printing anything is always difficult. Are you using a program like Cura to lay the parts flat on the printing bed before you start building?
