This is something i have been thinking about for a while. I have not looked
into chrome extension building yet but im planning to have a look at the
possibilities.

After a quick look to the Chrome Extension Developers website I suspect that
currently is impossible to implement hackbar to Chrome. They only allow a few
UI options to modify the browser and certainly they are not going to allow the
installation of toolbars into their browser.
They only allow the option to include a menu with a HTML page or some menus and
I suppose its not possible to keep it with the focus after the submit.

pedlagdur, perhaps you can try create a process, hook into Chrome's named pipe
and do IPC calls of the Chrome HTTP stack?
