@teixeirak I've noticed in the abstract we're inconsistent in using present vs past tense to talk about results - should everything be in present tense (e.g.) "Temperature variables are the best predictors..." ?

We'll want to keep all the results in past tense.

So, I guess change this:

"We show that, across all flux variables analyzed, C cycling decreases continuously with absolute latitude –..."

to

"Across all flux variables analyzed, (rates of) C cycling decreased continuously with absolute latitude –.. "

Note that we might (probably) still need to make word versions of the tables. I'll know for sure when I start the submission process (ASAP, but not sure I'll get to it today).

Just to check - is the "Anderson Teixeira n.d." reference the ERL review, or is that a knitting error?

I'm happy with this - I've made one tiny edit (are you able to knit this again?) but otherwise it looks good to me!

Yes, the n.d. Reference is the ERL review. I assume that it will be accepted by the time we get the proofs.
