We do have a section on citation in our Git lesson: https://swcarpentry.github.io/git-novice/12-citation/
Pull requests for more supporting material are welcome: Edit link to underlying Markdown File
Thanks @jduckles At this point, we are just capturing ideas and activities as we restart regular software citation meetings. The goal of our meetings will be to track and encourage activities to happen, such as this one.
Hi
At CIG, one of our prime outreach events is workshops that are domain code tutorials. If there is a standard slide deck our organizers could use, that would be very helpful.

Hi @ljhwang! Do you mean slides about the Carpentries, or for software citations? For the latter, I think there is nothing standard yet, but hopefully https://github.com/katrinleinweber/171228-34c3-lightning-software-citation and https://figshare.com/search?q=software+citation prove useful to you.
We could work with Software (and Data) Carpentry to add software citation practices to their lessons. At a minimum, this could include creating a codemeta file, and perhaps actually publishing software.
