I'm happy to do this for one of them.
I am happy to volunteer as well.
Let's please coordinate the messaging for this e.g. a one-pager for them about
This can be re-purposed for the session organisers too, once we've selected them.
Is this something the outreach committee already has?
I will be the POC for Ashe Dryden. I'll email her.
I believe that Bianca is already Ashe's point of contact. Is that correct?
Hi all,
just chiming in, not enough connection for the call here, unfortunately.
I wouldn't mind being contact person for Ashe, as I've been in contact with her so far. Would that be OK?
regards, Bianca
PS in general, I'd suggest discussions involving keynote speakers best be done on email rather than GitHub :-)

OK, so we have
Heather for Lucy,
Kathie for Diego
ToddBianca for Ashe
That’s fine with me, I just picked up a name to be helpful.
Todd

So Bianca is on for Ashe.
And Todd can help coordinate, e.g. by drafting the one-pager etc.
That would be great!

Dear _____,
First, on behalf of the Program Committee I would like to thank you for your willingness to provide a keynote presentation during the Force2017 conference this fall in Berlin. I will be your main point of contact in preparation for the meeting. I belive you may have already seen some of this, but i wanted to make sure it is all in one place, if you haven't already participated in a FORCE11 meeting before.
About the conference: The FORCE2017 Research Communication and e-¬Scholarship Conference brings together a diverse group of people interested in changing the way in which scholarly and scientific information is communicated and shared. The goal is to maximize efficiency and accessibility. The conference is non¬traditional, with all stakeholders coming to the table for open discussion on an even playing field in support of innovation and coordination across perspectives. The conference is intended to create new partnerships and collaborations and support implementation of ideas generated at the conference and subsequent working groups. This year’s themes are
Who Attends: The Force11 meetings have historically drawn together more than 300 scientists, publishers, librarians, computer scientists, informaticians, funders, educators, citizens, patients, and more from all sectors of the scholarly landscape.
The main themes of the conference are
The conference is a mix of interactive sessions that include plenary keynote presentations, break out sessions, informal “unconference” meetings, discussion sessions, poster discussions and lively hallway discussions.
Keynote speakers are expected to talk for approximately 45 minutes. Please leave approximately 10 minutes for discussion of your talk and questions/answers. You can feel free to be innovative in the form or approach for your talk. We also hope that you will be able to participate in some of the unconference conversations that may result from your talk. We can discuss how to arrange this in the coming weeks.
If you have any specific AV requirements, please let us know by ____. Please get me a copy of your presentation by __ to ensure we have it properly loaded when we arrive in Berlin. I will be your contact and am happy to assist with any questions or concerns you may have. I will be in touch again about a month before the meeting to check in with you to ensure everything is on schedule and that there are no problems.
Thank you again for your willingness to participate in Forece2017.
With kindest regards,
Feel free to edit as you wish!
This is done.

Todd to contact Diego.
Did we already discuss whom we'll ask to speak on which day?

Per call - I removed this phrase "You are scheduled to talk on __ at _____am." from the draft email.
OK :-) Should we instead ask them if they plan to attend the full conference?
I have reached out to Lucy. Heather

I think that was sort of the thought today @bmkramer. It was mentioned that it is better to ask and make sure that they will be there and available the whole time, rather than risk what might happen if we only assume that they will be. But it was also mentioned that we would hold off on telling them the actual time for their presentation for a while longer yet.
