GIthub publishing to first repo doesn't stick in settings

Describe the bug i make a repo that doesnt exist, then i publish to github repo, then i click push and it states its not connected to any repo. i went around with this for 3 tries, then i changed a file and then all of a sudden all my last 4 commits that failed showed up in the new published repo.

yes i did setup the git global options with my email and name. To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to '...'
2. Click on '....'
3. Scroll down to '....'
4. See error

Expected behavior expected behavior is to push and it not say any errors

just push like i do on my desktop apps
