Pipeline stuck on promotion of (small) work-item for more than 2 hours #214

Describe the bug Pipeline stuck on promotion of (small) work-item for more than 2 hours. AND Github source tracking lost for several work-items.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Nothing special, just promoted a small work-item, as we have pushed dozens and dozens already

Expected behavior A normal promotion. Either succeeding or failing

Screenshots Screenshot added. Stuck work-item in RED. Work items which have lost Github tracking in PURPLE.

Additional context No issues otherwise, we can create new work items, create new branches and commit to these and raise a PR. It's just this one promotion which is stuck... (the changes ARE deployed correctly to the target Sandbox)

Hi @SvdR82, thanks for posting. Can you please further explain this: AND Github source tracking lost for several work-items.

Sometimes promotions can get 'stuck' we have a 2 hr timer to detect this and show the process as stalled, and that lets you retry the operation. But did not understand what you said about GitHub.
