Summary

The Salesforce Extension Pack (Expanded) that is published to OpenVSX is using an incorrect publisher for the Apex PMD extension. The issue is that that extension does not use the same publisher on both the Microsoft Marketplace and the OpenVSX registry.

Result is that the extension is missing for anyone who installs Salesforce Extension Pack (Expanded) from OpenVSX

Steps To Reproduce:

  1. Starting from a fresh VS Code, i.e. does not have the Salesforce Extension Pack (Expanded) or Apex PMD extension installed.
  2. Install the Salesforce Extension Pack (Expanded) extension from OpenVSX.
  3. Verify the extension is installed
  4. Search for the Apex PMD extension, which should be missing.

Expected result

After installing the Salesforce Extension Pack (Expanded) from OpenVSX the Apex PMD should be available.

Actual result

The extension Apex PMD is missing, because the publisher is different in the OpenVSX registry.
