In the haplogroup search output, I'd add an info icon next to each haplogroup name, so that it is clearer that you can obtain further info.

This is true, we should add an "i" icon or highlight the haplogroup names. So that it is clear, that it is not a static list and you can get further information through clicking on the results.

Try around here a bit. Collected suggestions:

i icon next to name
cursor to pointer change on hover
tooltip on hover with 'click for more info'
add some 'check out the usage guide' text on homepage

Added pointer change and tooltip for the rows now on branch fixes_v01.

Seems okay to me, waiting for feedback to close.

The cursor is nice and works, however I would still prefer to add a small icon (e.g., 🔗 or ➔) .

Added the I icon for now in commit dcdf326.

I tried a few different optins and find blue color and underlined the best.
