Katex auto-render extension does not work #72

Following the demo's Math Typesetting example, the KaTeX error message "ParseError: KaTeX SyntaxError: KaTeX does not work in kirks mode" appears and the raw LaTeX script is displayed in the browser. This works well when adding DOCTYPE I think "base of.html" should start with <!DOCTYPE html>
