GMS removal #648

Hi devs

Do you have any plan to remove the only proprietary library, Google mobile service ?

Only this one, preventing this unique FF fork, to be fully FOSS.

If you remove GMS, you cannot have push notifications. So I don't think it's convenient to remove that library. I think it's shitty too, but this is the world we live in right now.

I don't really see an issue with it. maybe they could ship a version without said library alongside the regular version

That will be the right action, and will remove the obstacle for F-droid repo also.
