(Feature Requests) Please add the ability of customizing toolbar! 🙏 #737

Current toolbars basically waste of space and I would like to at lease have the option to customize it, even at the cost of cluttered mess.

Some ideas/opinions i read on Mozilla Connect forums:

  1. Being able to customize the toolbar in the desktop version is a great feature, we should be able to do the same in the Android version. For instance, I would like to remove the home button, which I never use, and add the refresh button, which I use all the time. Yes, there's limited room, but it should be up to us to decide.
  2. This is (in theory) an easy option that would improve user experience a lot. The Home Button seems very redundant when tapping on the Address Bar brings up the home screen anyway.
  3. 'uBlock Origin' on toolbar would be awesome. Having quick access to uBlock Origin would make it easier to manage my browsing experience. Currently it takes 3 clicks/taps to open uBO window and it opens in a separate custom tab. mock-up uBO on toolbar.jpg

I personally would like the ability to remove the home button and arrows as they are redundant and prevent me from being able to click on the url box as it will only interact with the ssl key and reader mode if the website has that option.SmartSelect_20240220_093940_Iceraven.jpg

Or (at least IMO) an option to tap or swipe show/hide the bar.

"Essential Buttons Toolbar" extension gives me what I need except the address bar and menu key.

@gljames24 How did you put Back, Forward and Refresh on the toolbar? While I'd also like to remove the Home button, I'd also like to add some of those buttons to the toolbar (possibly even if Home can't be removed), but I haven't found an option to do that either.

Looks like either a goofy or custom DPI to force tablet mode on a phone and since it wasnt designed to do that ends up looking squished.
