Track Red Hat extensions #10

Out of curiosity, does the https://vscedownloadcountwebapi.azurewebsites.net/ backend somehow reads the content of this json file on the frontend, to start collecting data?

the underlying question is: once an extension is tracked, does the tracking just start or will previous history be available as well?

Yes, backend reads the content of this json to start collecting data. And once an extension is tracked, tracking just starts, but previous history will not be available.
