Timeline not working when installing with plugin #16

Describe the bug I have a site with yootheme pro and a child theme activated (but with no builder folder in it). If I install the plugin the timeline do not work.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Create a theme child with just index.php inside
  2. Install the elements plugin
  3. Timeline do not work+
  4. Unpublish the plugin, copy the folder in the "builder" folder of the child
  5. Everything works

NOTE: i did not try without the child theme. Maybe it's just the plugin that does not work...

Hi PixedBo,

I’m sorry to read that the plugin isn’t working for you as expected. However, I could not reproduce this behaviour. If you recently updated the plugin and/or YOOtheme Pro, please to try recompile the style.

If that doesn help, please tell me

Thank you.

Best regards

Did recompile style but no success. More info:

I tryed to make a video, hope it's clear enough: https://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/c3VqobVoLqm

NOTE: the very fist try was with plugin only (so the builder folder in child theme did not exists), i added the builder folder when i saw that the element with the plugin did not work. Other elements of the plugin did work fine.

Thank you. I can see the issue in your screencast, but I still could not reproduce it, neither in Joomla 3 nor 4 (see this demo showing the timeline element via plugin working fine on Joomla! 4 with an active child theme and index.php override). Could you please try to update to the latest version of Joomla (4.0.6) and YOOtheme Pro (2.7.16)? After updating YOOtheme Pro, please open the page builder at least once. Thank you.

Updated to latest Joomla4 and YoothemePRO but no sucess. This is my sysinfo if it can help

sysinfo

Anyway it works fine with manual installation of the single element, so it's not a real issue here...

I guess I would need to take a first-hand look at the site to see why the LESS for the timeline element would not be included in the theme.css of your installation. If you want to, you can either create a support thread with access data in the hidden information field in the YOOtheme support forum and post the link to that thread here or send me an e-mail with access data (for the e-mail address, please see the plugin website).

Mail sent, thank you

For the record: I recompiled and saved the style having the page with the timeline in the preview and the plugin active. The timeline now seems to work with and without the child theme active. Confirmed by @PixedBo. Issue closed.
