You mentioned that you downloaded a file in AIO updater and this happened, I was wondering– is your SD formatted as exfat? Certain files becoming broken after a homebrew installs new ones can be a symptom of exfat corruption. I'm more inclined to suspect it'd be an exfat issue rather than an AIO, AMS, or hbmenu issue.
Making an issue over here (hb-appstore) to track the app corruption, as we have talked about presenting warnings if the SD card is detected as exfat.

I saw your issues on https://github.com/Atmosphere-NX/Atmosphere/issues/1522 and https://github.com/switchbrew/nx-hbmenu/issues/134, going by the screen shots it looks like the appstore nro itself is corrupted (the icon in hbmenu isn't showing properly, and has a [!] instead).
