This thread tracks the translation of the documentation to French. Feel free to post either in French or English in this threads, whatever seems most appropriate.

@awvwgk What exactly means "link dependencies are properly tracked" in the News section (fpm 0.5.0) ?

awvwgk commented 2 years ago

“changes in the libraries which are linked in a target lead to proper rebuild”

vmagnin commented 2 years ago

@awvwgk In the English News section the following links are not active on the web page:

continuous delivery of current fpm git source implemented ([#569](https://github.com/fortran-lang/fpm/pull/564, https://github.com/fortran-lang/fpm/pull/569))

In the French translation, I have modified the code:

livraison continue des sources git du fpm courant (#569, #564)

awvwgk commented 2 years ago

That looks like an error in the English version, feel free to fix it there as well (I found that translating the pages helps to find a lot of typos and other errors).

OK, I can easily update the 11-21-fpm-version-0.5.0.md file.

But should I make a $ make html to update the .po in all languages?

awvwgk commented 2 years ago

I think none of the current translations includes the news,po, also the workflow deployment will always run both the gettext and the html target.

vmagnin commented 2 years ago

@awvwgk In the how-to.po file, there is a problem with the conda-forge link:

Fpm is available on [conda-forge], to add conda-forge to your channels use:

What URL should be added between () ?

UPDATED: the URL is in the fpm-docs online, it is https://conda-forge.org/ I don't know why it was lost in the how-to.po file...

There is a bug in the MSYS2 link in the English version:

The MSYS2 project provides a package manager and makes many common Unix tools available for Windows.

I will fix it. (DONE)
