Fortran merchandise #107

If I search Amazon books for Fortran, the first few items listed are good (books by Metcalf/Reid/Cohen, Curcic, Chapman, Chivers and Jane Sleightholme) but soon the list has items I would not have placed highly -- books on Fortran 90 and Fortran 77, earlier editions of Fortran texts, and some low-quality self-published books. The second page of books has some that are not about Fortran.

I have no experience with selling on Amazon. Would it be possible for Fortran-lang to create an Amazon store and list the items in the In print section of the site? A link to the Amazon store could be added to the site. Maybe this could help fund the site.

We could sign up as an Amazon Affiliate, link it to the NumFOCUS bank account, and use revenue to cover costs of domain name, Discourse (when we upgrade to paid plan), and other resources.

I don't think we can directly change the Amazon search results.

At FortranTip a few people liked the idea of Fortran merchandise such as clothing. This exists for Python and Julia. Personally I would be reluctant to wear a T-shirt promoting a programming language, but maybe others would like to.
