The ERUM permanent committee must mitigate the reputation of the R Foundation, and act concordantly to the interest's of the R Foundation.
The ERUM permanent committee shall endeavour to promote Diversity, Equality and Inclusion in the R community.
For the purpose of curatorial decisions, the definition of Europe may extend to "Europe, The Middle East and Africa (EMEA)".
Membership of the permanent committee precludes that the country of that member from making an application for a future conference event, while the committee member serves.
Conversely local organizing committees are encouraged to recruit committee members from prospective hosts.
The ERUM conference shall only take place in calendar years when the UseR! conference is not taking place in the continent of Europe.
The permanent committee have the discretion on what constitutes the continent of Europe, and reserve the right to vary the criteria.
