Comparison of pressure drop

In some parts of the document, the comparison of pressure drop is done by using >, in other parts is < (likely under the assumption that drop is negative?). We assume now that when there is a drop in the pressure, the drop is positive. For instance, if the pressure is 30cmH2O and suddenly it becomes 20cmH2O, the drop is positive (10cmH2O). The drop should actually measure the acceleration of the drop in pressure to really evaluate the intensity and in case initiate the inspiratory phase.
