Replace Power Supply #13

Closed CloudyPadmal closed 7 years ago

CloudyPadmal commented 7 years ago

@jithinbp I have replaced the existing power supply with a zener + transistor implementation. Can you give it a look? :) Thanks!

PS : I tried to upload a screen shot but my Internet connection is still faulty! I'll upload it with my mobile phone

Implementation

jithinbp commented 7 years ago

Hi, has this implementation been simulated/tested? The base appears to be simply latched to Ground via a capacitor, and I'm unable to understand the working principle.

I used the following circuitry. it has been thoroughly tested zener_reg

Are these transistors easily available? the 3906,3906 I've used cost less than a rupee, and seem to do the job quite well. They're not required to respond to rapid load fluctuations, and merely power op-amps via an additional layer of RC filtering

Hi! I noticed a mistake. There's a wire connection missing from the resistor to base! Sorry about that!! Simulation

We can remove the capacitor right? And no need of a Darlington if they're not drawing much power! I'll correct those and resend the PR!!

Made a new PR with changes. Hence closing this!
