Compilation albums are not grouped #275

I have many compilation albums, where each track is by a different artist. Instead of seeing one tile for this album, there is a different tile for each song.

I have tried adding the same "Album Artist" to all the id3 tags and also making sure that the id3 tag specified that the songs were part of a compilation, but this didn't help. Is there a way to fix this?

Thanks.

Has rhythmbox recognised your ID3 album-artist tags?

CTRL + Click each of the tracks for the album - right-click and choose properties. Make sure the Album-Artist field is filled in with the name of your artist.

It's working now. I edited the tags in another program, quit and restarted rhythmbox, and the songs were still being listed individually. After restarting my computer, though, they displayed all as one tile.
