I'll vote for 9 - Speech bubbles with hands. It goes well with foss as it highlights volunteerism and having a voice - making a statement.
Two concern though -
I did a reverse image search
Does not go well with foss unless the image is Creative Commons.

My vote for #9. The logo with the hands and Speech Bubbles.
My vote for #20. It shows three hands raised up in air under the stars. That could signify collective effort by multiple people to reach the stars/ excellence. Also, since they are not in a loop it signifies openness and inclusion; in line with our group values.
My vote for #5 and #9
My vote for 9 or 21.
Got these designed.
@gsama @indieNik @hiteshd @SwAtm @yrm4foss Based on vote count shall we freeze on 9 ? If yes, then do we need check for plagiarism ?
We can freeze on #9. If we can get someone to make slight changes, may be just swap between left and right, we can avoid copyright issues if any. So far as plagiarism is concerned, I have no idea about it. Regards, Swami Atmapranananda

Yes, If anybody can take that as a base and work on it, it'll be great. I don't know whether it will be still considered as plagiarism or whether it will avoid copyright issues. Gautam

Yesterday, I put together a simple type style for the handout. Since most members present liked it, I propose it as logo. I have modified and changed it a little to make it better (hopefully).
"fosstr" uses Roboto font by Christian Robertson and is part of Google Open Source fonts - Apache License, version 2.0 Typeface: Bold Spacing: Condensed by 1.0 pt
".org" uses Liberation Sans by RedHat which is GNU General public License Typeface: Regular Spacing Condensed by 5.0 pts
Logic of the Logo The Logo is easily replicable in a LibreOffice Document without even having a jpeg. (By installing fonts and adjusting typeface and spacing.) No copyright / plagiarism issues. All lowercase font signifies technology - coding I prefer the ".org" as it indicates that it is a community project and gives it more human feel. It also makes one feel the community is much larger than it is. (marketing) :)
I like the idea of a text based logo rather than a graphic logo since it avoids a lot of copyright issues. And that it is simple and to the point.
+1 from me for the idea
+1 for fosstr (sans .org) Regards, Swami Atmapranananda
