Idea for short Video

What

A short video informing people that are interested in applying to FAC that it does not matter how old you are, what your background is or where you come from. Everybody is welcome to become better programmers at FAC!

Why

There is the stereotype that programming and software development demand a prior technical background such as a mathematical degree. We aim to destroy this preset idea with our video!

How

By asking the question 'What were you doing before FAC?' to the students of the current cohort which will show how the diversity of FAC and how your background does not really matter.

At the end of the video the following should be summarised:

• how background, age or nationality are irrelevant facts to succeed in your application.
• other qualities that will be looked for in the application: Willingness to learn, amount of effort, etc

The ultimate aim of the video is to give confidence and encouragement to people that are interested in applying but feel a bit discouraged because of their educational background, age or nationality.

• keeping the video to 30 seconds, as it allows us to post on Twitter too
• adding subtitles
