Karyum commented 6 years ago

@Heathercoraje it's' people like them are killing Nazareth recipes

mattlub commented 6 years ago

@karyum @Heathercoraje we need to get the ratio right. 9:1 and 1:1 are very different.

If it is the same amount of sauce as sugar (i.e. 1:1) then I think your first ratio wants to be 1:1:2 soy:oyster:sugar i.e. 1 part soy, 1 part oyster, 2 parts sugar(?)

when this is sorted I'm happy to approve

mattlub commented 6 years ago

And I honestly don't wanna cause controversy, but I would like to start a discussion on whether this should be considered a salad, because for me it is 100% a side

mattlub commented 6 years ago

not to mention vegetarian and vegan labels when it contains oyster sauce...

but yeah, let's get this merged

Karyum commented 6 years ago

@m4v15 watch and learn from @mattlub mate

Heathercoraje commented 6 years ago

@mattlub I am also not sure because they are like fake chicken basically as in it mimics the taste of oyster sauce but it does not contain any oyster in fact.

Heathercoraje commented 6 years ago

@mattlub It is more like 1 table spoon of soy sauce, a bit more than table spoon of Oyster sauce and 1 tea spoon of sugar( because oyster sauce already has a lot of sweetness in it). Help?

mattlub commented 6 years ago

@Heathercoraje maybe forget the ratios... something like:

"1 table spoon of soy sauce, a bit more than 1 table spoon of Oyster sauce and 1 tea spoon of sugar. Or for the vegetarian version, replace the Oyster sauce with extra soy sauce, and maybe add a bit more sugar because you will lose the sweetness of the Oyster sauce."

... or maybe your original ratios were right lol

Heathercoraje commented 6 years ago

@mattlub I am gonna go with 4:5:1 then adding the explanation as side note.

Heathercoraje commented 6 years ago

@m4v15 @mattlub Please take a look friends

m4v15 commented 6 years ago

lol I still don't get it but sure 🍽 👩‍🍳
