New front-page blurb #217

Current front page:

Become a software developer Founders & Coders runs the UK's leading training in software development.

Founders & Coders is setting a standard in education. We run the most comprehensive training in JavaScript web development in the UK without charging our students a penny.

We are demonstrating elite education should not only be accessible to those that can afford to pay for it.

We select on technical talent, capacity for hard work and desire to have a positive impact on the world. Everything we do is designed to help you towards becoming an exceptional software developer.

We aim for 100% of our graduates to be earning a living in software development. We manage this by partnering with companies including Stack Overflow, 8th Light and The Guardian.

I think we can do better. In particular, let's emphasise creativity and social good.

I think we also need to pick the companies we mention a little better to reflect those that are genuinely partnering with us - i.e. they want to see F&C succeed. The Guardian is the only one in that list that I'm not currently conflicted about.

@iteles The new list is likely to contain: dwyl, On Purpose, Year Here, Anna Freud Centre, Centre for Acceleration of Technology, Guardian News & Media, the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, The Prince's Trust, New Philanthropy Capital, AltGen, Teach First, various Councils, and on and on...

I have merged and published. Our new front page reads:

Become a developer Create software that makes the world a better place.

And I have stripped out the rest. This is just a place-holder until we have had a chance to think about this some more, but I was getting fed up with the old copy.

We also now have a much-improved ABOUT section blurb.
