Consider adjusting terms for spell preparation modes in Modern rules #4433

The 2024 PHB has abolished "known" vs. "prepared", which makes the current delineation of Prepared/Always Prepared vs. Pact Magic inaccurate.

I think this can be tied to the modern vs legacy setting, although this may make guides slightly more difficult due to needing to use two different terms for similar system results.

Related to this, the Pact spells are odd to grant and it complicates tracking the correct # of spells "prepared"

Wizard still uses 'know' to describe the spells stored in their spellbook (PHB'24 p165) and uses 'prepared' to refer to spells that can be cast on any given day. Warlock however does only use 'prepared'.

So I wouldn't say 'known' is abolished.

This may be more of a core system issue and is certainly related to this.
