My friend from college was our DM and he would spend lots of time prepping each of our sessions, him and I love the idea of this! I would say for the generation, maybe include a way to filter or get specific traits. For example, say you need a monk since the party is going to a monastery and can select "Monk" for a field and it will randomly generate characters but who are all monk classes.
