Thumbnails not working sometimes

Something broke the thumbnail generation and they're black now. I've got to 
figure out what broke it.

I'm really confused... now on this server I'm only able to get the creation 
thumbnails black, and only after giving them a non-PNG thumbnail (AKA issue 5).

It's all thumbnails, and only on my home computer.
Will hopefully fix this weekend.

May have to do with slash marker (slashes vs backslashes)
