What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Login to FICS
2.accept game sought
3.wait

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect game board to materialize and allow me to make my first move, or show
my opponent's first move.

Nothing happens. However, when retrying console indicates that I am "playing."

Does it happen every time?
Yes

tarball/svn?
installed from apt-get

Please provide any additional information below.

Can you attach a logfile created for such a session, please?

Sure.
I purged and reinstalled it. I ran it and tried to do as little as possible
except logging into FICS and choosing one of the sought games. This is the
resulting log file, right after the error. exceptions.keyerror
Hope it helps.

Bradley, can you test it, please?

Thanks, that looks like it did the trick. When I first ran it, it crashed right
after launching the game window, but after a restart it was able to play
several games both as black and white. I didn't notice anything in the log. So
you should be able to call this one done.
