Hi Richard, I would love to see your code working directly in Kodi (as an addon)

Unfortunately I cannot adapt your Python script to a Kodi addon myself because I'm blind to Python and don't have a clue were to start. Currently I have a perfectly working version that I can run on a Windows machine.

However I can adapt and test this to learn to create an addon for Kodi. Would you like to start collaborating on making this work?

Hi Laurent, too little time past period... unfortunatly.

But let's get started by; Migration of a working (Windows) version that uses python for executing the filters and writing of .strm files, of wich I use now with my current TV provider (this one: https://github.com/trix7777/m2strm/releases , the only thing missing in my guess is the 'wget' of the M3UPlus-file by my guess)

Meanwhile I will start executing and testing creating a new addon for 'Kodi 20.0 Nexus' latest on Android and Windows. And perhaps I can setup a webfolder for testing and 'get m3u files'(?). Or share provider info...

Hello, I also use the one from trix7777 and it works perfectly. It uses the wget m3u_plus function, otherwise there won't be a group. I agree to exchange m3u in order to advance the project

Hello, actually he doesn't really like that we tinker :) I currently have a plugin that I have for kodi 20 which connects in xtream codes... I managed to modify details to make it functional on kodi but I am not a developer.. maybe you want to try to make it work correctly? I can provide you with a download link if you are interested.

Hi Laurent, yes: very much so. I have several IPTV providers of my own for testing, so let me know wich addon it is and we'll adapt it to Kodi Nexus.

I have similar accounts wich uses the same strings for m3u get.

you have to activate meta in setting but it does not work for movies .. works for series .. there is also an option to configure iptv simple client automatically but there was an update of iptv simple client and I did not retest it. maybe finish this addon properly and add a function for the strm .? I'm at the limit of my skills :( have fun

Thanks! It works properly with my provider and also with ALL Live channels, Movies and Series. But still all information is 'kept inside' the addon...

I will figure out if a migration to .strm is possible with a little help from the 'm2strm code'. Thanks for the tip!
