Went to an "Interest your blog traffic with (youtube) videos" event #19

Talked to ~5 people there. Main takeaways:

  1. Most people think it works best for fashion/cloth and stuff. Electronics and Furniture are a closed second.
  2. Stipple is our direct competitor in this space, they are however, having trouble getting on youtube videos, which a lot of them encouraged us to do. Although they all make business videos instead of consumer product related videos.
  3. InfluencePeople.com, one of the affiliate marketing firms worked with Stipple and are very interested in working with us and talk. --it's Murray Newlands me@murraynewlands.com
  4. When an event says there are 100 people attending, only about 1/3 are going to show up.
  5. EVERYONE uses Commission Junction, SkimLinks, or ClickBank.
