Proposed Strap Attachment Solution #1

Respirators and face masks need at least two straps, in order to properly balance pressure along the entire seal. Based on your initial strap attachment, I have made a 'K-Strap' that fits on a 200mm square print surface, and provides 4 attach points.

With this, I am able to wear the mask hands free with a good seal across the entire face. This also helps to relieve pressure against the nose, which can become uncomfortable. The K-Strap STL file is attached below.

Thanks! will look at it later today.

Did you edit this with Fusion by any chance? Could you send me the cad file?

DudemanJones commented 4 years ago

Tinkercad actually. I'm not too experienced in full CAD modeling.

Can you share anyway? -- I'll see if I can import it or I'll just publish it as is. It's important to me to be fully open-sourced.

Respirator mask K strap OBJ.zip Hi fabien.

Tinkercad supports STL, SVG, and OBJ export. You can reference it at this link. https://www.tinkercad.com/things/gLNEm04YfIl-respirator-mask-k-strap

For convenience, I've also attached a zip file with the OBJ and MTL files for the K Strap.

My apologies, as I don't know how to use any other CAD or modeling tools. I hope this helps.
