10 months ago this might be irrelevant for now, but i'm leaving it open and labeling as low priority in case it comes up again.
my notes from convo with @jim-z: some people had created projects like a year or two ago. director had asked them to update the projects but some data was wrong. their approach was to create a whole new project and copy all of the data over (like by adding buildings one-by-one again). would be nice to have a way to make this copying process easier but it's unclear whether this will be needed in the future, or whether this was just a one-off thing.
Several users have asked if they can make a copy of a project they have already created so that the assets they selected are retained but details can be changed...this may just be an issue currently because projects were being entered before there was clear instruction on how our director wanted them to be displayed in the CIP. Construction phase projects should be entered separately from the engineering, design, etc. phases that happen before construction and many people had been entering it all as one single project.
Wouldn't want to spend a lot of time on this. Perhaps copying projects is just something that can be added to the admin page similar to how that was where projects used to be deleted.
