Root DJI Transmitter #10

Is it likely for the transmitter to be rooted as well? I have the Full-Sized TX and was wondering if it could be added to the list?

Thanks for your amazing work! Can't wait to see what comes from it.

Is it even running android? I doubt it.

Yes.

@jaanuke finally got his hands on a V1 RC recently and we're looking into it. V2 doesn't run Android sadly and has a much simpler SoC.

Very Nice. Going to throw these guys some cash soon regardless. This project has incredible potential.

is it possible to make airunit/vista to support V2 transmitter ? (v2 transmitter rc control link to airunit then sbus to fc)

j005u commented 2 years ago

@singlag Maybe, but we already tried the easy and obvious approaches. Needs someone able to dedicate some low level reverse engineering time to it.

Just an Idea, would it be possible to use the Goggles RF uplink for the RC? Remote could be attached to the USB Port of the Goggles as HID Joystick ;-)

I wouldn't bother. My DJI Transmitter RC link always fails before the video. But if you wanted to try, you should probably start with trying to get joystick input working on goggles. Hard to do since you need the USB port for console and I don't think Goggles have USB Host. (Maybe I read that V2 does?)
