I've already registered and turned the crawl rate quite a way, but I'll turn it up fully.

Ah .... I was just coming to update with Philip John's contribution on-list, but you're saying we're already set up?
I take it we don't have the site-ownership validation token thing in the DNS records any more though?
In any case, could I get in on the management somehow with the google email address I use on-list?
From Philip: https://groups.google.com/d/msg/judgmental/FeG3xUcc38s/7IYOPAa-bmwJ
= Google =
First we need to verify ownership of the site. The easiest way for now is to add the following TXT record to the DNS records for the domain:
google-site-verification=BVhywHozQa6HdmD8EVLYtOl0-YsEIYe40n7udbF_ENc
Francis, is that in your power?
= Bing =
We need to verify by doing the following to the DNS:
Add CNAME (alias) record with name 86da488ebf59088dd884547053c2706a and value verify.bing.com.
There doesn't appear to be a way for me to add other users to Bing webmaster tools, unfortunately.

Unfortunately, I can't add anyone (it won't let me!) until the domain is verified using the DNS records, but I have your request saved ready to add you as soon as I can :)
Philip, do you know if completing the GWT registration is a necessary prerequisite to inserting some Google-powered site-search?
Seems like Francis is pretty busy just now, but I'd like to press ahead :)
Sorry for being slow! Will try to do it today or tonight! On 9 Nov 2012 01:44, "Ryan Jendoubi" notifications@github.com wrote:

No worries! Don't mean to badger, we live in busy times!
Turns out it's not necessary for basic custom search, but there are lots of custom search enhancements like using sitemap.xml that require site verification, so it'd be necessary for those.
And up the crawl rate to the maximum. This will get us indexed well sooner.
