Trouble compiling on ubuntu 16.04 #6

When I process the configure.ac file with autoconf I get the following error:

configure.ac:6: error: possibly undefined macro: AM_INIT_AUTOMAKE If this token and others are legitimate, please use m4_pattern_allow. See the Autoconf documentation.

jcockfie commented 6 years ago

I installed libevent and this error went away.
