Update formatting and rewrote a few parts of the quickstart guide

Thanks for all your work, but could you provide the rationale for why this should be merged? What exactly do you see as wrong with the current guide that should warrant a rewrite?

The quickstart is fine and it's informative, but could be improved. For one, I found that it wasn't easy to scan as there were lots of steps and information that needed a little bit of formatting. I thought as a quickstart, it'll be even more interesting to read if it's easier to see every section and step wholistically. I rewrote some parts for clarity and to make it easier to read for anyone, even if it's their first time.
