Sign Up password acceptance issue #47

When attempting sign up via the Website sign up page I get two types of response. The first is that there are instances when the page takes no actions after submission. This happens in the Firefox, Chrome and Edge browsers. For Chrome and Firefox, this is the only 'response' I could get.

The second is a message is displayed saying "please match the requested format". This is in the Edge browser.

  1. It does not specify the 'requested format'.
  2. After inspecting the source code, the regex pattern used indicated that the password should be between 8 and 20 characters long, and it can only contain letters, numbers, dots, dashes, underscores and exclamation marks.
  3. I changed the settings on my password generator to remove the special characters option so I wouldn't get the ampersat, ampersand, etc..., to generate this password that meets the format requirements: wDBZA69yD21C (don't worry I won't be using this password). The password meets the required format but still didn't resolve the issue.

Hello Ali,

thank you for you kind feedback over the website we deployed. I am going to look into these issues during the weekend and try to fix those problems, at least display an informative error message if an account already exists and specify the format. Also, I will be adding a delete account button, as this is not present yet and I understand the problems this can create.
