Just bought a brand new Mi 9 SE, the adb recognize it with no problems. But XMT only recognize it on File Transfer mode. As soon as the device got into fastboot XMT stops recognizing it.

Hope that info helps debugging this type of issue.

What system you use? It can be a handshake issue or hanging adb.

I've tried on Mint 20.04 and on Windows 10. (not sure about the build number)

Got it working on a Ubuntu 20.04 ISO installing adb/fastboot from scratch.
