Unable to root the Redmi Note 5 (Failed to create remote directory: /data/app/com.topjohnwu.magisk-1) #33

I have followed the patch provided at: issue and patched the linux branch. Using that I was able to install TWRP and unlock bootloader.

I am trying to root my device but getting following error.

[12:31:10][FATAL ][] InstallException - adb_exception - Failed to create remote directory: /data/app/com.topjohnwu.magisk-1
