Great Work! Thanks for the Hilo integration. Can we get the outside air temps #32

Hy François and thanks for your work. It is greatly appreciated as I can use HA occupancy logic to trigger my setpoints. Would it be possible to add the outside air temps sensor that Hilo is getting from the intelligent counter ? It would be really usefull because this is the closest "free" sensor for outside air, much better than meteo stations. This sensor would be useful to do logic like decide if free cooling is possible meaning that the outside air is colder than the inside air. Thanks again!

Are you sure it's a sensor from the intelligent counter?

I think it was but great question before putting effort in it. Maybe hydro is using our postal code for it. Let me check before and I will come back to you.

Ok was not easy to find out but unfortunately it is not comming from a counter sensor, it is provided by Weather Underground to Stelpro. They state : The outdoor temperature for your Hilo home is based on information from Weather Underground (a IBM company), which is the data provider for Stelpro, one of Hilo’s smart home partners.

So it is so easy in HA to get that data with many existing integration. Thanks for challenging me I was wrong thinking it was a counter sensor.

Your HQ counter must be outside? Mine is inside in the basement.
