Hi, can M5Stack UNIT-LIGHT U021 connected to GPIO port of stick be used as a trigger? I'm searching a way to do photography of lightnings.

No current support

It would be much cheaper to just build that circuit yourself and use the existing analog trigger mode

Also, for lightning, the latency needs to be incredibly low, I don't think Alpha Fairy is suitable for it. I did think about this already a long time ago.

All you need is https://www.amazon.com/Detection-Optical-Sensitive-Resistance-Photosensitive/dp/B07XFZ99XL/ref=sr_1_3 , a power source, one diode (to protect your camera), and a way to connect to your camera's intervalometer port, it would work so much better.

@frank26080115 thanks for an answer. I found better sensor for lightnings: as3935 lightning sensor. I've been thinking about building a small addon, probably using arduino nano, to connect it to Fairy in external trigger mode.

As far as wired connection concerned, my sony a7c have only usb type-c port, which can't be used as trigger/intervalometer port (like S2 port on other sony cameras), so the only way to remote control it — using wireless triggers (like aodelan rmt-p1bta or jjc btr-s1 bluetooth triggers or Alpha Fairy with wi-fi).
