You configure this in gnome-mplayer and this would have been a better question
for
the mailing list than opening a bug.

gecko-mediaplayer uses gnome-mplayer for video playback, so if things work
properly
in gnome-mplayer they should work in the browser with gecko-mediaplayer.

I want opengl video output... i can change the preference of gnome-mplayer to
use
"gl" in my local copy... do we need to specify in the code (of
gecko-mediaplayer ) so
that gnome uses "gl" ??

Just set the gl preference in gnome-mplayer that is all you need to do. Nothing
is
needed to be changed in gecko-mediaplayer.
