gnome-mplayer breaks display shutoff on Ubuntu Karmic #298

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Run gnome-mplayer on Ubuntu Karmic

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Display should suspend after 5 minutes. This doesn't happen if you start
gnome-mplayer, play a video and close gnome-mplayer then.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

gnome-mplayer 0.9.8 on Ubuntu Karmic (9.10)

What version of gnome-power-manager and DeviceKit do you have. I think there
was a
buggy one out, I can't reproduce the issue here. Also are you self compiling
gnome-mplayer or getting it from somewhere?

In SVN there is now an option to use gnome-power-manager or direct XScreenSaver
control. Please test and see which one works best for you.
