CBSSports.com Gadgets #446

My name is Joe Flynn and I work for CBSSports.com. We are trying to update
the CBSSports.com iGoogle Gadgets, which you can see here:
http://www.google.com/ig/directory?q=cbssports.com&type=gadgets

The description of each gadget includes a URL with a sportsline.com domain
(some are http://cbs.sportsline.com … others show http://www.sportsline.com )

We want to change the URLs so they all show up as http://www.cbssports.com.
However, we're not exactly sure how to make the change. Could you or
someone on your team let us know what we need to do to make the switch?

I was instructed to use this form by Don Loeb at Google. Any help you can
provide is appreciated.

My contact information is as follows:

Hi Joe,

It looks like these gadgets are actually just RSS feeds, converted to gadgets by
iGoogle. The domain that is used in the gadget description is the domain where
the
feed originates. For instance, the Fantasy Football feed:
http://www.google.com/ig/directory?type=gadgets&url=cbs.sportsline.com/partners/
feeds/rss/football_fantasy_news
lists cbs.sportsline.com and originates on that domain. Conversely, the College
Football news feed:
http://www.google.com/ig/directory?type=gadgets&url=www.sportsline.com/partners/
feeds/rss/cfb_news
lists sportsline.com and originates on that domain.

It appears that you do have feeds at cbs.sportsline.com, in addition to the
www.sportsline.com versions, and that both of these appear in the directory. If
you
want to provide a list of gadgets where the feed is incorrect and a pairing
where the
feed is correct, I can alias the incorrect versions to the correct ones. For
example:

http://www.google.com/ig/directory?type=gadgets&url=www.sportsline.com/partners/
feeds/rss/cfb_news
=>
http://www.google.com/ig/directory?type=gadgets&url=cbs.sportsline.com/partners/
feeds/rss/cfb_news

Thanks,
Dan
