Description of the bug/feature.
==================================
Gadget has been replaced by a newer version, hosted on our own corporate
webserver. We'd like to remove the old one from the directory therefore,
however when verifying ownership of the gadget prior to being able to
delete it, I'm inserting the ID tag comment successfully but still
receiving the error message "We were unable to verify that you are an owner
of the gadget located at:
http://www.google.co.uk/ig/directory?hl=en&type=gadgets&url=hosting.gmodules.com
/ig/gadgets/file/101967730281909896740/pallex01.xml"

PLEASE FILL OUT THE FOLLOWING FOR A BUG REPORT ONLY:

What steps will reproduce the problem?
======================================
1.Signing into google using the pallexit@googlemail.com account.
2.Going to URL:
https://www.google.com/gadgets/directory/verify?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.co.u
k%2Fig%2Fdirectory%3Fhl%3Den%26type%3Dgadgets%26url%3Dhosting.gmodules.com%2Fig%
2Fgadgets%2Ffile%2F101967730281909896740%2Fpallex01.xml
3.Entering the verification ID comment tag into Google Gadgets Editor for
the file pallex01.xml
4.Clicking the verify button and receiving the error message described above.

What is the expected output?
============================
I would expect the verification to work so I can continue to the next stage
and delete the gadget.

What is the actual output?
==========================
"We were unable to verify that you are an owner of the gadget located at:
http://www.google.co.uk/ig/directory?hl=en&type=gadgets&url=hosting.gmodules.com
/ig/gadgets/file/101967730281909896740/pallex01.xml"

Which browsers have you experienced this on?
============================================
IE 8.0.6, Firefox 3.5.2

Which operating systems have you experienced this on?
=====================================================
XP

It's possible you are not placing the verification token in the correct place,
or not
removing the token from previous attempts. The page is working correctly, so it
should work.

Signed in, I get a list of my gadgets when clicking delete.
When I select one I get File delete unsuccessful.
Ditto if I try to save as an existing one.
