I completely agree. It's a mess, and you are right, disabling the default
bundle removes too many key functions not contained in the Zen bundle.
If we integrated all of these functions into the Zen bundle, then it would be a
simple turnkey replacement for the default HMTL bundle, in which case people
should be told explicitly to disable the default HTML bundle to avoid
duplicates.
On the other hand, if we removed the duplicates from the Zen bundle, then it
could simply be added alongside the existing HTML bundle without the added step
of disable the default HTML bundle. Does anyone know if these are exact
duplicates or will removing them affect Zen's ability to work properly?

how does telling people to do it themselves a way to help people? By that
token, one should have time and be able to code in
c/java/ruby/python/lisp/fortran/.......... if he wants to use one
functionality.
