Discount % and Margin % Issue

Hello Frappe Team,

Use Case:

When we do any Purchasing Transaction or Selling Transaction and enter 1 Rate Say 100 and it gets updated in the Price List rate

When we make any changes in the Rate again say from Rs 100 to 2000 or reduce the same, the amount shows in the Discount % or Margin %. of Rs 1900 and it shows both- Margin and Discount also

This is causing a lot of confusion for the user

Can we have settings in the Buying to enable and disable this Type of Discount/Margin Section

This should be applicable when the User himself want to enter any discount % or Margin % by itself. Here the system is itself creating a discount or Margin% which causes a lot of confusion and thereby gets non-confidence in the Product or they consider this as a bug

My Suggestion is that we should have an option to enable this system-generated Discount/Margin %. In case the user wants to have that Option- then it will enable the same and this would be manual method where the user will enter in case it require

Instead of changing the Rate, change the price list rate then discount wouldn't be applied
