Enhancement - Option to Load UNSPSC for Item Tree #7123

As I continue getting familiar with the Configuration of ERPNext, I have stumbled upon the site where users can contribute translations and chart of accounts. I thought it would be a great addition to give the end-user an option to populate their Item Tree using the United Nations Standard Products and Services Code hierarchy. The information is available in multiple languages, and I feel it would be a great addition to ERPNext to help ease in the "guesswork" of creating your own item tree. This same categorization scheme could help for detailed accounting as well.

Correction: PDF files are free to download, excel files cost money.

Adding to the discussion, found that GS1 also has an item tandard, it is called GPC.

GPC Publishes its schema free of charge, however, work must be done to translate. GPC 2016 Schema

It sound as a great feature! Another nice standard should be the GDSN which will align all the infos regarding the product itself; have a look at:
